Imagine a gathering that brims with the aroma of fine wines, the delectable sights of gourmet foods, and just a hint of innovation in its air. This year, Strains of the Earth was thrilled to partake in such an event, one fueled by the passion for extraordinary culinary delights—the Food and Wine Experience, proudly hosted by Minnesota Monthly Magazine.

It was a celebration not only of tasty wine and food but also a testament to progressive attitudes toward cannabis. For Strains of the Earth, it was an opportunity to unite the community not just in appreciation of taste, but in the exploration of a newfound fusion.

Exquisite Tastes Served at the Event

Grand Vine Tasting

Strains proudly sponsored the Grand Vine Tasting event on Friday night, where guests enjoyed sampling wines from glasses adorned with our logo. The evening featured an intimate and upscale tasting experience, showcasing a selection of exquisite red, white, rose, and sparkling wines accompanied by gourmet bites, live music, and, of course, cannabis.

Strains of the Earth excitedly represented the THC industry alongside top vineyards and world class restaurants. This event provided a platform to dispel stigmas and address inquiries about cannabis’s future in Minnesota. Witnessing the curiosity and acceptance surrounding not just cannabis, but also CBD, mushrooms, and other plant-based products was truly delightful. As a dispensary, we have the privilege to offer and introduce a diverse range of products that are truly impactful, including our featured Friday beverage: Freedom Soda.

– Freedom Soda:

An initiative beverage that champions more than just flavor, Freedom Soda is on a mission to enact change. For every purchase made, a percentage of the proceeds is directed toward inmates still incarcerated due to low-level cannabis convictions. Created here in Minnesota and part of the MJ Equity Project in Rochester, Freedom Soda is both an indulgence and a force for social good in the cannabis community.

We are thrilled to present Freedom Soda again at our yearly 4/20 event. During this occasion, we will be doubling donations to support their cause. It is an honor to support this local project as we persist in our efforts for a better future.

At the Grand Vine Tasting we sampled out their whole line up: Root Beer, Citrus, Creme Soda, and Orange. Our staff highly recommends creating an infused root beer float for your next home movie night!

Saturday and Sunday Experience

– The Lekkers Line-Up:

Lekkers could well be the quintessential beverage for a sunny day. With 10 MG per bottle, it offers a delightful yet mellow THC kick, making it perfect for both relaxation and a hint of nostalgic adventure. The Blue Razz, Lemon Tea, and Purple Fusion were highly popular among the crowd, and rightfully so.

– Birdie is Summer in a Bottle:

Wild State’s Birdie cannabis-infused beverages capture the sprightliness of a sunny afternoon. We offered samples of the satisfying Wild Berry Lemonade and the subtly sweet Honey Lemonade, both a refreshing alternative to traditional sugary drinks. The perfect way to beat the heat that comes with the approaching summer!

– Moku Mushroom and Plant-Based Jerky:

Moku ensures that non-cannabis enthusiasts weren’t left wanting. This nutritious and delicious alternative to beef jerky offers a snack experience that is free of gluten, soy, and added preservatives. For the vegan community seeking a flavorful alternative to traditional beef jerky, Moku hits the spot.

We featured three flavors over the entirety of Food and Wine Experience: Hawaiian Teriyaki, Sweet & Spicy, and Korean Barbecue. All three flavors can be found at our Natural Remedies location in Jordan, MN.

An Invitation to the Next Culinary Adventure

The Food and Wine Experience was a delightful and engaging occasion! We eagerly anticipate a future where THC, CBD, and natural remedies receive broader acceptance and recognition. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone who visited us to inquire, sample, and make a purchase during the event! It was a pleasure to engage in face-to-face conversations and raise awareness about the wonders of Mother Nature’s Miracle.

Come hang out with Strains of the Earth at the next MN Monthly Magazine event, CannaFest, happening the evening of April 4th, 2024. Save the date for a fun event filled with wellness products, cannabis-infused samples, and a community all about extraordinary experiences and spreading cannabis education.
